As a creative digital photojournalist, Milestone’s photography style combines the best of both worlds. Two thirds of the total pictures taken are unobtrusive un-posed candid shots. • Photos are automatically in chronological order.
• Digital prints made at a photo processor last just as long as photos made from standard film.
• The ability to change light sensitivity and color temperature with the flip of a switch instead of awkwardly changing film.
• The ability to show customer the pictures taken at any time during the wedding.
• The ability to shoot hundreds of photos without reloading film; 35mm film gives only 36 shots per roll.
• Digital ordering is easier because the photos are numbered continuously on the CDs.
• Since the media is already digital, it is easier to crop and retouch exposure problems.
• Digital photographers shoot more total photos than film photographers.
• Customers can make their own prints using a computer and printer; some of these photos are guaranteed to last over 25 years.

• We shoot all the photos in high resolution over 10 mega-pixel resolution modes; we don't use the lower resolution modes. Some digital photographers use lower resolutions to save memory space.

Our "film-based" Chicago wedding package has other advantages:

• Film-based shooting has a better contrast ratio than digital. Film handles extreme contrast better, like a shot in front of a sunset.
• Film is still converted to a digital CD-ROM for easier archiving; CDs are easier to use than old-fashioned negatives.
• The customer gets the best of both worlds: the contrast ratio of film withthe ease of ordering from CDs.
• Photos can be computer-printed and retouched just like the digitally-shot photos.
• Film is more forgiving than digital photography although the resolution of film is lower.
• Customer receives the photo negatives too.
